Abstract:As more organizations embrace statistical methods and thinking, a useful new tool can help quality professionals and their students meet the challenges of learning statistical methods. Dynamic illustrations are software applications that combine interactive controls to drive graphical representations of statistical concepts in real time. Students can use dynamic illustrations to see how statistical concepts respond under various learner-defined situations. Students who interact with what they are learning, even if only through simulation, can recall 90 percent of the concepts being conveyed.
