Quality Challenges in Global Companies

Abstract:Quality management system implementation in multinational corporations is often hindered by factors related to cultural differences among its affiliates. A survey indicates major factors affecting QMS implementation include cultural limitations, insufficient management and employee preparation, employee attitudes, technical limitations, and specific legal regulations. Survey results reveal attitudes and behaviors of management and employees are a serious challenge to QMS implementation in Central and Eastern Europe, despite integration with European Union member countries and access to advanced technologies and innovations.
