Pam Henderson, Ph.D., is CEO of NewEdge, Inc., a growth, strategy, and design firm that advises companies across every industry from Fortune 500 to startups and nonprofits. Dr. Henderson pioneered Opportunity Thinking™, a new approach to innovation that helps organizations create sustainable growth.

Formerly on the faculty at Carnegie Mellon University, Henderson later worked with the national laboratory system and Washington State University to commercialize early-stage technologies. Henderson speaks internationally and has published widely on market insight, business and innovation strategy, and design, and has received recognition in the Harvard Business Review, Wall Street Journal, and NPR.

Henderson is also the author of a new book on opportunity thinking, titled You Can Kill An Idea, But You Can’t Kill An Opportunity! How to Discover News Sources of Growth for Your Organization, recently published by Wiley, a trademark of John Wiley & Sons.

Patricia La Londe is an executive in supply chain management with expertise leading teams in all aspects of procurement and supply chain including supplier quality, global sourcing, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations across diverse businesses. She has been effective in developing a global sourcing organization for a large medical device company, resulting in year-over-year cost reduction via strategic sourcing methodologies and reengineering while ensuring compliance with regulations. She has championed continuous improvement and developed alliances to create value through innovation and supplier partnerships. Her strengths include collaboration, being results focused, resourcefulness, negotiation, coordination, problem solving, and analytical reasoning.

La Londe received awards from CareFusion including the President’s Award in 2003—a leadership award granted to employees for driving results—and two additional officer awards. She received the Charles E. Meadows award in 2005 and Rick A. Mass Award in 1998 from the ASQ Customer Supplier Division. She is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) Quality Engineer (CQE), and Quality Auditor (CQA).

La Londe is an ASQ Fellow, current chair of the ASQ board of directors, and co-chair of the Global Advisory Council and Strategic Planning Committee. She is a past Conference Board chair, body of knowledge content co-chair for the Healthcare Division, Certification board chair, Customer Supplier Division chair, and San Diego Section chair.

Dave Verduyn’s passion is the front end of product development, specializing in inventive thinking and innovation strategies to create new customer value. In 2001, after 17 years of industry experience in design and systems engineering, technical instruction, and product development consulting, Verduyn created C2C Solutions, an organization with a mission is to help unlock the innovation potential in any organization. Verduyn is an engineering graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology, and to date he has coached more than 70 Fortune 1000 companies in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America across a diverse range of industries. He regularly lectures at the University of Michigan, ASQ, and other professional organizations to develop new innovators by giving “how-to” lectures on systematic innovation. He is a recognized thought leader and has trained thousands of engineers and product developers in methods including systematic innovation, voice of the customer, TRIZ, QFD, cost reduction, value analysis, and other Design for Lean Six Sigma activities.
