New and Proven Approaches to Continual Quality Improvement
Dr. Deming demanded continual improvement as illustrated by his 14 Points and the plan-do-study-act (PDSA) cycle. Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma are project approaches to improving quality. The conference theme emphasizes quality improvement that is continual. We use the word continual since continual implies prolonged repeated instances of quality improvement illustrated by repetitive application of the PDSA cycle. Continuous implies an uninterrupted flow of quality improvement.
