The Quality Control Handbook: The Missing Chapter - Trust

This dynamic and entertaining presentation will focus on “Trust” and why it is important in our personal and professional lives. This open air, informal presentation of an older guy’s view of a recurring problem: the lack of trust, has affected him personally, professionally, and is often overlooked by most people. There will be a review of how recent events have impacted the quality profession and the manner in which quality professionals communicate affects us all. The presentation discusses the view of the quality profession by the media and by politicians, and how trust and the lack of trust affects standards and the conduct of business. Also included is a view of how our global industry has impacted trust and relationships with business partners.

The presenter will share a humorous view of his 40+ years in the quality profession; it begins with a young quality professional in the 1970s and will show how the quality profession has changed over the past four decades. The presentation will also shed light on why young people are not choosing quality as a career and how trust plays into this.
