Diane M. Bosworth joined the Jenks Public Schools in July 1997. She established the vision and set the course for the pre-kindergarten-12th grade curriculum development process. Diane also took the lead on the district's focus on continuous improvement.
Diane's vision and leadership were instrumental in the implementation of the Grace Living Center Intergenerational Program, the full-day Kindergarten Program, the Dual Language Program, the addition of curriculum resource instructors and the setting of goals for increased learning in reading and mathematics.
Diane and three other administrators authored Jenks Public Schools' award-winning 2005 Baldrige application. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, and a master's degree in special education and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Prior to Diane's current position, she served as a principal for 10 years in Oklahoma and Minnesota, a curriculum resource instructor in Minnesota, a classroom teacher in Minnesota and Illinois and a consultant for a major publishing house in New York. She was a 1995 recipient of the international Athena Award given in recognition for her leadership, mentoring, community work and accomplishments.
Diane presented at numerous state and national conferences in regard to school improvement, strategic planning, curriculum development and teamwork. She is active in various community organizations and serves on numerous boards.
