2011 Executive Panel Discussion
 


We invite all conference attendees to participate in an interactive Executive Panel discussion scheduled for Thursday October 27, as the final session of the day. With panel members including senior executives and prominent quality professionals from various industries, this promises to be an opportunity to share your issues, concerns, and recommendations and help influence the future. The interactive discussion will focus on expectations, and recommendations for effective, productive and value–added auditing and reporting, with responses based on actual, real–life scenarios, with real–time insight and recommendations for our conference attendees.


Paul Borawski

Paul Borawski: Chief Executive Officer for the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the largest and most respected organization of its kind.


Paul has spent the last 24 years promoting the importance and value of quality. He was named “one of the most influential people in the field of quality” by Quality Digest magazine in 2005. The European Organization for Quality awarded him the Georges Borel medal in 2006 for his contributions to the European community and in 2010 the Argentine Society for Quality (IPACE) named him an Honorary Member for his contributions to quality in Argentina. He is a member of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Consortium; a Board member of the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board, RABQSA, and ASQ Global, and a past president of the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE.)



Allen Sayle

Allan J. Sayle: President of Allan Sayle Associates for Business Improvement Services


Allan was the keynote speaker at the very first Auditing Conference in 1992 and delivered three subsequent such addresses always to the highest acclaim from the delegates. His book “Management Audits”, first written in 1978 and now in its 3rd edition was the tour de force for auditors and is still regarded as the classic text in the field, influencing every quality auditor training course, standard and book since publication. His “process approach” to quality and auditing, which he developed in the 1970s, and pioneering work in “value–added audits” are among his contributions to the quality profession.



Jeff Fossum

Jeff Fossum: Principal Booz Allen Hamilton


Mr. Fossum has 28 years of professional experience including 19 years of consulting experience supporting both government and commercial clients in the application of information technology. He has performed a variety of technical assignments in all stages of the systems development life cycle for transactional systems and advanced computing applications. Mr. Fossum has served as program manager for Booz Allen’s work with several clients including the DOJ, DOD, Intelligence agencies, and currently with the EPA.




Dennis Ivey

Dennis Ivey: Manager - Quality Assurance/Quality Control of the Shaw AREVA MOX Services Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF)


Mr. Ivey‘s responsibilities include maintaining the MOX Project Quality Assurance (QA) Plan and verifying its effective implementation. Thus under his scope of control are Quality Control (QC) Inspection program, including inspection of construction activities, assembly & test activities, receipt inspection of incoming products and the Nonconformance Program, QA Internal and Supplier Oversight including audits, assessments, monitoring, surveillance and inspection of activities, Quality Engineering (QE) including the review of procedures technical documents and the Project Corrective Action Program, including Trend Analysis.


Kevin Schaaff

Kevin Schaaff: Program Manager Booz Allen Hamilton – Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Fellow


Kevin Schaaff is a program manager in the security market delivering large scale IT systems for Booz Allen Hamilton. He has over 25 years’ experience in Systems Engineering and Project Management. His previous experience includes managing a variety of programs ranging from large Navy R&D efforts to implementing small to medium IT Systems. Formerly with the SEI as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff, he delivered SEI products and services to a broad range of commercial and public customers around the globe. In addition, Kevin has led numerous organizations to SW–CMM and CMMI Maturity Level 3, CMMI Maturity Level 5 and was responsible for numerous sites being both ISO and AS9100 registered. He has successfully implemented Agile and CMMI previously on a variety of programs.



Sipho Tjabadi

Sipho Tjabadi: General Manager of the Quality Management Group–Capital for Eskom South Africa’s State Owned Electricity Enterprise


Mr. Tjabadi, General Manager of the Quality Management Group–Capital has 20 years of professional experience including market research, sales, management, and now leads the Quality Management Group, responsible for the Quality Management strategy, QMS development, Business Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Improvement, Quality Planning, Quality Policy development, Quality Measurement, Internal Quality Audit programme, and Quality IT system.
