New Faces on ASQ’s Public Policy Advisory Council

MILWAUKEE, October 1, 2008 — David Levy and Dale Weeks have joined the Public Policy Advisory Council. This group advises ASQ’s Office of the President on issues and public policy matters, including ASQ’s presence in Washington, D.C.

The appointments were announced by the Council’s chair, Kay Kendall.

The Public Policy Advisory Council is the focal point for ASQ’s efforts to anticipate and respond to issues that represent current and potential opportunities and threats to ASQ and the quality profession. The Council reaches out to ASQ members and member leaders, encouraging them to alert the Council to emerging quality-related issues that could affect the profession.

Levy, a quality consultant from Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., is a member of the ASQ Board and chair of the Section Affairs Council. He brings the perspective of ASQ’s Sections to the work of the Council. Weeks, a senior executive officer with the Florida Department of Revenue in Tallahassee, represents the ASQ Government Division on the Council.
