National - An award created and administered by the Society Awards Board and Board of Directors.
Regional - An award proposed by a Regional Board, reviewed and approved or disapproved by the Society Awards Board, and administered by a Regional Awards Committee.
Society Unit - An award proposed by a Society unit, reviewed and approved or disapproved by the Society Awards Board and administered by the Society Unit Awards Committee. NOTE: References to such awards must make it clear that it is a Society Unit specific award. A Society Unit is a subset of members of the Society, e.g., Divisions, Sections, Regions (reference Bylaws 8.4.7. (1)).
